Shaheen for Senate Unveils 'On the Road with Govy' Blog by Molly Shaheen
Wednesday June 11, 2008
(Manchester, NH) —The Jeanne Shaheen for Senate Campaign today debuted a new blog on the campaign website by Shaheen's youngest daughter, Molly Shaheen. The blog, called "On the Road with Govy," will chronicle Molly Shaheen's life on the campaign trail with her mother, former Governor and current U.S. Senate candidate Jeanne Shaheen.

"I'm developing an interest in politics mainly because I know as a young person, like it or not, we control the future," Molly Shaheen writes in her first post. "Our country is slipping and we need people to bring it back in the right direction.  Politics can be dirty and frustrating, but like my family, I feel I have no choice but to get my hands dirty for a better and brighter tomorrow.   This is what is engaging me in this campaign, leaving sunny San Diego was bittersweet but this is where I need to be, so I hope that all of you will come on this journey with me.

"I am here to give the real story about politics.  To get away from the political rhetoric that plays on repeat and let you in on what life on the campaign trail is really like!"

In her first post, "It's Official Now!," Molly reveals a long-held family secret, discusses her decision to get involved in the campaign, and talks about Governor Shaheen's rally at the Statehouse after filing for the US Senate in Concord.

In her second post, "Headquarter Openings: Derry and Nashua," Molly talks about some of the New Hampshire voters she's met on the trail and how much their support means to Molly.
