CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire Senate candidate Jeanne Shaheen wants local radio stations to pull an ad she says distorts her position on new drilling for oil.

Shaheen's lawyers sent letters to about a dozen stations arguing the ad is false because it says she opposes new drilling including offshore drilling. But Associated Building and Contractors' political arm, the Free Enterprises Alliance, responded that the ad isn't false because Shaheen also opposes some new drilling.

Shaheen supports drilling on the 68 million acres, both on and offshore, that oil companies currently lease but do not drill.
